Interior art from an issue of Dell’s four color comic Have Gun Will Travel #10 Fight For The River (July-September 1961) written by Paul S. Newman. Often, the interior art of other Western TV show tie-in comics made little or no attempt to capture the likeness of the actor portraying the character. In the above example from the artists—Giolitti and Ticci—have done and excellent job of not only capturing Paladin's facial likeness, but also his physical mannerisms—as can be seen in the illustration of Paladin on his horse.
