Since February 2020, long time Western fans and writers Paul Bishop and Richard Prosh have been getting together to talk vintage and contemporary Westerns in books, movies, TV shows, and any other media at home on the range , or anywhere the black hats get shot to doll rags by blazing sixguns...
This website is well done and a joy to scroll through.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the podcast.

ReplyDeleteGreat job with the website. I am looking forward to what you guys put together for a podcast. I have added this site to the list of my favorite blogs and podcasts that I have over on my own website: Michaelrritt.com.
ReplyDeleteThx, Michael...Rich and I are warming up to record a special Episode #0 on Tuesday. It's an exclusive warm up as we test every thing out and prepare to record and release the official Episode #1 on February 24th...

ReplyDeleteThanks guys for putting this on. One of my favorites as a kid, and now am enjoying "those thrilling days of yesteryear" again, thanks to the podcasts. Keep up the good work.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to be a regular here. I just listened to the True Grit podcast. excellent. I want my husband to hear it. He loves both versions of True Grit and I think he'll find them fascinating.
ReplyDeleteThx, Mary. Really glad you enjoyed the episode and hope your husband does as well...
ReplyDeleteIf the minimum Patreon level is $5 a month, and you have 8 patrons, shouldn't the monthly contribution be at least $40, not $39?
ReplyDeleteIt's $39 because Patreon takes a cut...
DeleteSo Ive just listened episode 15 How the West was Fun. How can you talk about light hearted / comedy Westerns and not mention Carry on Cowboy?!!!!
ReplyDeleteI just discovered this via the Goodreads site and I'm so glad I did. Love the podcasts too!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, and you've got another big fan!
Congratulations on your first year of audio programming. I've "back listened" to most all of the material you've put out here and enjoyed all of them . The Speed Listen episodes are fun as well as the the discussions with authors.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your program that touched on western radio programs (the original podcasts!) . You helped me find some programs I'd not heard of which I've enjoyed greatly. Listening to radio , with earphones jacked in and ones eyes closed, can be truly transporting with the right show.
Again congratulations and I look forward to every drop you make . Keep up the great work.
Thx, John. I can't tell you how much we appreciate positive feedback. Thx for taking the time to check in...
DeleteI recently discovered your podcast. I am currently listening to back episodes as I work my up to the most current releases. Keep up the great work!

ReplyDeleteI hope the podcasts are soon back. They are really informative and interesting. Keep up the good job.
ReplyDeleteEsa... We are currently on hiatus, but will be back with new episodes in April...
DeleteI thought I had all the Ales Hawk/ Elmer Kelton series. I have 18 different Paperback Library titles. I noticed in the list of other books by Alex Hawk in Blood Trails there is a listing for "Night of the Blancos". I never seen this title any information would be appreciated.
