WESTERN FANZINESFans of the Western genre will find much to enjoy in Hot Lead and Head West!, two high quality Western fanzines. Copies of both inexpensive publications can be purchased via Amazon. While both are professional quality zines, they are produced by hardcore fans of the genre on an irregular, often erratic schedule.
Hot Lead, edited and published by Sixgun Justice's wordslinging amigo Justin Marriott, is a full color explosion of vintage Western paperback covers and in-depth articles on all aspects of the Western genre. There are three issues of Hot Lead currently available. A double-size fourth issue, stuffed front to back with over 150 reviews of vintage paperback Westerns, due in early 2020.
Two other Sixgun Justice trail pard's, Ben Bridges and Mike Stoddard, have so far publish two issues of their Western fanzine, Head West! It is a larger size publication than Hot Lead, but the interior is black and white only with lots of margin space.

HEAD WEST ISSUE #1The first issue of Piccadilly Publishing's new western-themed magazine, Head West! contains something for all lovers of the genre! Edited by Ben Bridges, there are interviews by David Whitehead, a feature on creating Piccadilly Publishing covers by artist supreme Tony Masero, a personal take on the western by Linda Pendleton, a behind-the-scenes look at Piccadilly Publishing's first western movie, Vermijo, by director Paul Vernon, and fiction from the likes of Jake Henry, D.
