  1. I understand that changes have to be made to adapt a book as a movie, but sometimes those changes can be disappointing in their own right. The movie version of L'Amour's "The Quick and the Dead" was quite good, but completely left out what I thought was the coolest part of the book (in which the protagonist and an Indian stalk each other with knives in the dark).
